Many years ago, I heard some crazy sounds from something called the Space Bass, a resonant steel instrument built by Constance Demby. You can read more about her here:

While living in Vancouver, my friend and colleague Jeff Davis and I decided to build our own humble version. Procuring a large sheet of polished steel, and with some creative rigging, we set out recording.

It did not disappoint.

In homage we called our device the Earth Mother Communicator. The sounds are both eerie and tense. Bowing it, and using mallets, we were gifted with a nice range of deep rich metallic tonalities. Perfect for a horror movie or tense scenes.

This library also includes some bonus Radium patches for Soundminer's Sampler. They can be used to 'perform' the sounds of this library in fun ways. They are included in the download.
