Once upon a time I rented a Gold Mine. The 'Goldbug Mine' in Placerville California to be precise. I was on my way to Vancouver to supervise the film Journey to the Center of the Earth, and knew I needed material for a 'mine cart' sequence. Gold Bug was one of the only places I could fine with both a working cart, and a mine that would let me push it around!

Recording in mines is not exactly fun. It's hot. And it's humid. And my Schoeps microphones were often not happy with either.

But the sounds were great. Nice rail slides, mine cart rattles. The sounds here could be useful for other train or rail needs.

This library also includes some bonus Radium patches for Soundminer's Sampler. They can be used to 'perform' the sounds of this library in fun ways. They are included in the download.
